This is a powerful AF 3-minute emotional release practice where we start with somatic experiencing, feeling into the 'sense' of something in our internal world that exists within us as a 'memory' within our body and that hurt us. Maybe it was something someone did or said to us or a way we have been speaking to ourselves. We begin the practice by completing 3 rounds of 30 punches (closed fist or open fist) with short, sharp breaths that help us 'bring up' things lying at the bottom of the surface and energize our nervous system while releasing the feeling of 'not being enough.' Midway through the practice, we reconnect to ourselves and allow the feeling of 'power' and 'personal reclamation' to become stronger than the feeling of 'pain' from others, before heading into a final round of 30 punches or pillow punches. Finish the practice with an inner child reconnection, where we can finally talk to our inner child and apologize to her directly—something we haven't done yet.
