I freaking love this exercise so much! This is one of my favorite somatic stress-discharge practices, and I find that if I do it at the end of the day, after a stressful moment, or whenever things feel a little too much, the movement, tension, and breathwork are the perfect 6-minute practice for releasing whatever emotions have come up that day. It helps me process frustration, anger, and sadness too. This class allows my body to discharge the high cortisol, adrenaline, and metabolic waste that comes with dysregulation or high-stress experiences. When I do this practice daily, I find I rarely—if ever—experience an autoimmune or pain flare. It’s magic: emotional expression and stress discharge at its finest!
