Today, Lauren and I are guiding you through a practice designed to release the emotions, tension, and trauma stored in your hips—one of the primary areas where the body holds stress, particularly for women. The hip and pelvic region is rich in fascia, a connective tissue that stores both physical and emotional tension. The psoas muscle, often called the "muscle of the soul," connects the spine to the legs and plays a crucial role in the body's fight-or-flight response. When we experience stress, trauma, or emotional suppression, this area can become tight and restricted, holding onto unresolved feelings and nervous system dysregulation.
For women, the pelvic bowl is also deeply connected to cycles, hormones, and intuition. Chronic stress, emotional repression, and even past experiences can create a sense of heaviness or stagnation in this space. This practice is here to help you release that weight—whether it’s tension from daily stress or something deeper. Breathe deeply, move with intention, and trust that your body knows how to let go. You are safe. You are supported. And you are exactly where you need to be.
